A Mother On the Verge of Exploding

Time BombHave you ever been hit with so much bulls#$% you think, “I could write a book .” Well, that’s me. I created Mommy’s Open Diary in order to share my thoughts, clear my head and vent. The challenge is that life comes at you so fast that some parents struggle to find the time to tend to their own sanity. We go on auto-pilot because life doesn’t grant you a “time out” or a “do-over”.

I’m serious, give me ten seconds and I can name at least 10 absolutely amazing mothers who are seconds away from exploding everyday. I swear, in their mind it’s a constant question of which wire to cut the red or the green one?

And, I can relate. I’m on bed rest due to a high risk pregnancy with twins, working from home, with a two-year old son and an over-worked husband who is balancing his responsibilities of being a father and being a man with career aspirations.

I have some family and friends who get me; they don’t crowd me, but support me. They meet me where I am and never attempt to force me to be someone I’m not. But, on the other hand, I am dealing with some people who have their own agenda and they selfishly find ways to turn situations around to make EVERYTHING about what they want and expect–causing me stress and strain in the wake of their inconsideration.

Frankly speaking, I’m negotiating detonation on a daily bases.

MOD, I’ve got a lot to share. But, in the meantime, I just wanted to check in with my supporters to say please keep reading, keep posting and keep supporting. We are all on a journey, and it helps having people to share your experiences–though it is not nearly as often as I would like. 🙂

My diary entry is this, “tick…tick…tick…tick”
